Why am I not getting any link time improvement with IncrediLink?
Posted by - NA - on 03 April 2014 01:02 PM

IncrediLink improves Visual Studio .Net / 2005 / 2008  incremental linking feature to allow substantially faster linking in incremental links run after small changes.
To see if IncrediLink is improving link performance, try comparing link time with and without IncrediLink (it's enough to enable it just on the machine starting the build), in the following scenario:

1. Make sure everything is built.
2. Change a source file (from a project that depends on one or more LIB projects).
3. Run an incremental build.

You should see substantially faster linking with IncrediLink enabled.
