How to start more than one build from an Agent at one time
Posted by - NA - on 28 April 2014 08:24 AM

It is possible to have several builds running using one Coordinator, However only one job can be started on each Agent.

It is, however, possible to 'queue' several builds for execution on one Agent.
This can be done by starting the build from the command line (using the BuildConsole utility). This will cause builds to wait until a currently running build ends before starting.

Another way to initiate multiple builds / jobs will be by using Continues Integration systems such as TFS, Jenkins, TeamCity, etc...
If you have several builds, the automated build system can initiate those builds on different IncrediBuild agents allowing multiple builds to run simultaneously.

IncrediBuild can be easily integrated with Jenkins, TeamCity, etc by using the BuildConsole command line instead of your regular build command line and it already has specially made activities for TFS usage.
